Cross country ski

Courmayeur offers to the cross-country lovers an interesting range of slopes in a tipically alpine environment with wonderful forests covered with snow from November to May.
The slopes are in Val Ferret, placed at the foot of the Mont Blanc chain, and they are always tracked and beaten. They start from the suggestive village of Planpincieux (1580 m.) and go on along the valley to Lavachey or, for braves, to Arp Nouvaz. It's possible to choose among many detours of the runs to make your way longer or shorter from 3 to 20 km.

Off-Piste Skiing

Courmayeur is a paradise for off-piste skiing. On the chain of Mont-Blanc is possible to (found) find technical and panoramic off-piste. Different level from the classic Vallée Blanche, the Toula glacier and a lot of others wonderful slopes all over the area.

Heliski / heliboarding

Courmayeur and the Aosta Valley Region are one of the rare places where it's possible to do this kind of sport. Heliski is a combination between an helicopter flight and an off-piste ski descent with difference in height between 1050 m. and 2700 m. Slopes are articulated in places reachable only with mountaineering ski equipment, spending many hours for climbing. In fact the helicopter is the fastest way to reach peaks from where enchanting off-pistes start, perfect for free play to fantasy and ski longing.

Ice falls climbing

The stalactite formation with particular glare which creates cold and intense colours is the characteristic that strikes the observer. In Courmayeur, the winter is not just ski but there are others possibilities to try new emotions and sensations: the ice falls climbing is one of these. The recommended period is from the middle of December until the middle of March depending on ice falls conditions.
